One of the primary goals in our classroom is that we function as a family, learning from each other while supporting each other in a fun, happy atmosphere.
In our Family and Consumer Science program we encourage our students to practice newly taught Home Living Skills as we continue to reinforce skills already learned. In our made-over ‘Home Living’ room our students will be involved in: Nutrition, Food Preparation, Home Care, Money, Personal Health, Self Determination and Social Behavior.
Throughout the year we will be involved in different themes while incorporating them into life skills practice. Some themes we look forward to are: Apples, Harvest Time, Bread Making, Numerous Holiday Celebrations, Diversity of Cultures and so on.
Another part of our program is operating a monthly Bake Sale in which all of students play a part of.
In November we look forward to our International Feast–in which you play an interracial part by sharing food and fun that that gives insights into your culture. Yum-yum.
Stop by anytime, share a ‘home living’ talent and be part of our family.
